You're fabulous. Can I have you in my life? Or at the least-my friend list?
robot iconography: agreedroboticonograph on September 19th, 2010 08:57 pm (UTC)
Thanks! Feeling's mutual. It's a done deal.

P.S. I just spent all afternoon devouring your Kiss Kiss Bang Bang fics, and I. Um. Think I might love you.

Just sayin'.

Oh, baby! Thank you!

I shall soon be commencing with your Iron Man. Once bastard chapter 5 of the Sherlock noir is written. CHAAAANNNNNDDLLLLER!!!
robot iconography: genius at workroboticonograph on September 28th, 2010 07:55 pm (UTC)
CAN I JUST SAY HOW MUCH I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR SHERLOCK NOIR. I try not to read fic that's in-progress because it makes me antsy, but I think I might break my rule for you.

(Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner, but I didn't get the notification for some reason. What the eff, LJ.)

Why thank ya! Did you know there was a story before this one? Looking for Mary?

ALSO. ALSO. I'm actually on chapter 6, they are getting beta'd and stuff. Oh, yeah.

I just went to my master fic list and felt shame on seeing all the other Holmes were PWP...
robot iconography: narratorroboticonograph on September 28th, 2010 09:44 pm (UTC)
I did know about Looking for Mary; I'm saving it. I tend to stockpile fanfics by writers I like, and then gorge myself on them like Halloween candy. ;) I have read some of your other Holmes fics though, and they were great. As a Victorianist, I tend to stay away from SH fandom because a good portion of the writing makes me want to defenestrate my laptop. I appreciate the authenticity of your dialogue. :)

What? Really?!! I thought my older stuff was terrible and I needed to go door to door apologising! That's lovely to hear. C'mere you!

(although-in fic? I can't stand "Watson grabbed Holmes' ass" ARSE. ARSE. Ahem)
robot iconography: agreedroboticonograph on September 28th, 2010 10:11 pm (UTC)
Re. ass/arse: Absofuckinglutely. That is one of my pet peeves too. I think it's probably just because my family is English, but I just can't understand how people miss these things if they have, you know, spoken the language ever. Or even heard it spoken, in movies, for example. :P

Don't ever apologize for your writing! The best writers I know get up every morning behaving as though their staggering genius is a gift to the world. Fact. I'm not saying don't seek to improve or accept praise graciously, but it's really okay to be proud of your work.

Obviously there's going to be a continuum, and you're always going to get to a place where you look back and think "WTF was I on when I wrote that??" It's a bit like fashion--believe it or not, as awful as those parachute pants may seem now, at one time you wanted to be buried in them. And that's okay.

Wow, what the hell is in this Vitamin Water? Essence of Motivational Speaker? I'll stop now. :P

NEVER STOP! Thank you. You're lovely.

Have some of my greatest work

Thanks! I always like to know who's reading my work and what they think of it. :)

Self-Preservation took a lot of effort to write--to put myself in Tony's head and really stay there was hard. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm especially glad to hear that you would have been interested to read more, because I'm kinda-sorta working on a sequel...

Fact: I am currently working on about 10 different IM stories right now. At least that many. Also included is a sequel to Accountability, although I am having The Issues with that one. :P

Totally cool. I'll friend you back. :)

Okay, once again I have to say that I absolutely love your stories! I come to LiveJournal mainly to find a few good nuggets of reading from time to time and you're certainly one of my favorite writers so far! I'm adding you to my "friends" if that's okay!!!
robot iconographyroboticonograph on December 31st, 2010 06:42 am (UTC)
Totally okay! Thanks for the lovely vote of confidence. :)
